Your Facilitator: Katy Teasdale, IBCLC

Katy Teasdale is a Registered Nurse and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 19 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, postpartum, newborn feeding, and the early days of parenting. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply rooted in connection, creating a space where families feel safe, supported, and cared for.

Katy believes that every family deserves to feel seen, heard, validated, and gently supported as they navigate the beautiful and often overwhelming transition into parenthood. With a calming presence and heart-centred approach, she offers personalized support that honours each family’s unique journey, values, and goals. Her work goes beyond feeding support alone.  She blends evidence-based guidance with mindfulness, intuition, and holistic care to help families feel more connected, confident, and grounded during the postpartum season. In addition to her nursing and lactation work, Katy also is a Reiki Master and can offer gentle energy support for families seeking relaxation, balance, and emotional healing throughout pregnancy and postpartum. She understands that caring for a new baby also means caring for the nervous system, the heart, and the home environment surrounding that baby. Whether supporting a first latch, helping through feeding challenges, or simply holding space for parents who need reassurance and encouragement, Katy meets families with kindness, empathy, and genuine understanding. Her hope is that every family she works with leaves feeling empowered, supported, and reminded that they were never meant to do this alone.
